Malacanang Gives Camilo Sabio The Boot

Disgraced PCGG Chairman is off on a two week “official mission” to Europe, his  ‘requested’ leave as head of that similarly disgraced agency taking effect on the day of his return on September 29.

Really an all-too-obvious face-saving measure.

Just the other day, Mr. Sabio, quite haughtily asserted that even if he were disbarred over his admitted role in the Court of Appeals bribery scandal, he would stay on as PCGG chair, because being a lawyer is not a qualification for the post.

He added, “I serve at the pleasure of the President (or words to that effect).

Well, as Sabio has found, the President’s “pleasure” IS OVER.
