How The PacMan Did It

HOW MANNY TOOK OUT RICKY

The global buzz over how Manny Pacquiao bludgeoned Ricky Hatton into retirement isn’t really over.

CNN is still bannering PacMan’s 2nd round knockout of The Hitman a full week since the masterful victory with full feature reports about Pacquiao’s homecoming last Friday.

It turns out CNNs news team road with Manny right from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The photo montage above with the images emailed by my Manong Bunny Arville straight from Las Vegas tells the story indeed, including that knockout punch which sent the former pipe fitter from Manchester, England down and out for the full 10-count.

Note the reactions of Hatton’s girlfriend and mother.

In the larger right-most frame of the montage is Manny’s feature image in Time Magazine’s  special report on the world’s 100 most influential persons written by former heavyweight king Lennox Lewis.

As Manny recounts it, the opening killer right cross followed by his crunching left was something he and coach Feddie Roach had really practiced repeatedly. They knew that Hatton had a glass jaw and that the Briton would first be guarding against and expecting Manny’s trademark left.

Ricky and coach Floyd Mayweather Sr. were dead wrong and paid dearly for it.

A masterful and history making match it was: Pacquiao, the former panadero from General Santos City decisively humbling the former pipe fitter from Manchester.

This is a keeper of a story bar none.

Indeed, getting beaten is to get ‘Pacquiao’ed:
