The Latest Spin: GMA Ally Ricky Razon Tagged As Noynoy’s “Financier”

April 19, 2010

First it was that bogus report purporting that Liberal Party standard bearer Senator Noynoy Aquino had been diagnosed as having psychological problems.

That  blackprop push has now been followed by a new on-line attack claiming that businessman Enrique Razon, Jr.is the invisible big contributor to the campaign of the leading presidential aspirant.

Apart from owning the mammoth port building firm ICTSI, Razon is a known supporter of President Gloria Macapagal Aquino.

So the story now tagging Razon as Aquino’s secret campaign bank-roller pursues the Nacionalista Party line that the LP bet is actually the candidate of the hugely unpopular outgoing president.

Without taking this yarn as true, here is what’s being claimed:

This dual anti-Aquino, Anti Razon ‘story’ comes just days after it was reported that Mr. Razon had sold his Manila Standard today newspaper to Congressman Martin Romualdez of Leyte.

Romualdez is  the nephew of former  First Lady Imelda Marcos who claimed he was the one who paid for the controversial dinner that Arroyo travelling party ate at New York’s plush Le Cirque restaurant at the height of public grief over the death of former President Cory Aquino.

This writer is trying to get Mr. Razon’s reaction to this disparaging reference to him as “Aquino’s political sugar daddy” with the apparent goal of painting both of them is a light most negative.

The spin is still unfolding.

We need to keep our B.S. detector on.
